Major Hamza Mustapha was today discharged and acquinted by a Lagos court of Appeal in Nigeria. He was the Chief security officer former Nigerian Head of State Sanni Abacha.
He was convicted on charges of planning,overseeing and authorizing the murder of Mrs Kudirat Abiola who was the wife of Chief MKO Abiola,the widely believed winner of the 1993 Presidential election in Nigeria which was annuled by the Head of state at that time,Ibrahim Babangida.
Chief MKO Abiola later died in detention in 1998.
I'm very sure this is a shocker to most Nigerians but we will see how things go from here..
