CHELSEA TRASHED BY REAL MADRID

Chelsea Fc yesterday tasted their first pre season defeat following a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid.The Europa league winners beat Inter Milan and Ac Milan to set up a final clash with Real Madrid in the Guinness International Champions Cup in the United States Of America.

Real Madrid defender,Marcello scored the first goal of the game after side stepping Gary Cahill in the 13th minute but his goal was cancelled three minutes later by fellow Brazilian,Ramires who chipped the ball above Iker Casillas(the keeper) as he rushed out to dispossess Ramires of the pass from Romelu Lukaku.

Christiano Ronaldo later scored from a freekick and a header while Chelsea's Eden Hazard missed a golden chance to score against Real Madrid.The first half was even while the second was dominated by Chelsea.Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho said the scoreline indicates that there is still work to do.

Chelsea will face AS Roma on the 10th of August and then fly back to England in preparation for their first Premier League game of the season against Hull on August 18. I wish them good luck for the upcoming season.
