Jeff Bezos Acquires Washington Post For $250m

Amazon owner Jeff Bezos has agreed to purchase popular newspaper,Washington Post for a staggering sum of $250million.The sale is expected to be completed within 60 days.

Washington post has been owned by the Graham family for about 80 years and is well known for its political coverage in the United States.

It also owns Kaplan,a test preparation company as well as other properties.Those are expected to stay under the ownership of the Grahams after the sale.

Jeff Bezos who will be the sole owner of the Washington Post said he won't be leading the Washington post day to day and that the paper's duties will remain to its readers and not the private interests of its owners.

Bezos is one of the richest men in the world with an estimated net worth of $25billion
