One thing humans have always searched for is Happiness. It is defined as a mental or an emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.
Although, we all like to reach this state of well-being,It is still important to know that what makes one person happy does not necessarily make another happy so this is a simple but complicated topic to write about.
A few years back, a young man thought it was time for him to settle down so he started searching for the woman who would be his partner. This young man was single for a year after many failed relationships so he had the idea of what he was looking for and he realized that it took the grace of God for him to find a perfect match so he registered on different dating websites as well as met new people all the time and he started going out on dates.
After some time, he met a girl who seemed to match his preference and after a long conversation decided to meet with her. He set out on a journey to see her and was all excited about it. They met and instantly liked each other. All their friends and well wishers got to know about this relationship because it was going to turn out to marriage not too long after they met. Little did they know the relationship was only going to last for a short time and truly,it ended about 6 months after they met due to irreconcilable differences.
Prior to the time these two met, they both had series of failed relationships. However, they believed this was going to be different because of their seriousness, optimism and commitment but unfortunately, they had to break up. After which the man gave up on searching and the lady relocated elsewhere to begin a new life.
This man after a while started thinking that he still needed someone in his life and for the "last time" started looking for
the "special lady". He met someone not too long from the time he started searching and decided this time to be extremely careful just to avoid the reoccurrence of the last experience so he took more time to know this lady. She also just ended a relationship that was not taking her anywhere at that time so they were both in similar situations. This relationship metamorphosed into something big in a short period of time because they believed they knew what they wanted and they matched each other's preference. They had differences which they easily settled and they started making plans to marry each other only for an Obstacle to show up-Opposition from family and friends
These family and friends were judgemental and all they did was condemn either of them, making it seem one person did not deserve the other or that they moved just too fast. As much it is widely believed that the collective voice of men is the voice of God, these two people thought it would be fair to them if all these people with conflicting ideas would let them just be happy because of the LOVE they both shared but the pressure continued from until one of them sought the counsel of a close friend who opened the eyes of his mind in less than 3 minutes.
She highlighted the importance of people's opinions but stressed that they can instead use that as a form of encouragement and even the source of their strength. One interesting thing she said was that they both deserve to be happy as they are the ones who feel for each other and not all these other people who opposed their plan so they should go ahead and do what makes them happy.
This story inspires me every time that I am so happy to write about this today and let you know that no matter the criticism or opposition that comes your way in your search for happiness, you can still be happy. It could be career, health, financial or relationship wise.
