HAS THE TERM 'MARRIAGE' BECOME AN OXYMORON

Just a question for all of you married folks out there!  I wonder sometimes if this statement is still true and whether or not people actually still use it.  I’ve had the pleasure of talking with some married folk and divorced folk and they tell me so many negative things.
They suggest that marriage is an undertaking that shouldn’t be underestimated.  They refer to their marriage as WORK!!!  The complaints range anywhere from “We were happily married for a few years” to I want to strangle this person every morning when I wake up next to them! What are their complaints?
Believe me I’m no marriage expert but I must say that married folk nowadays with the exception of a few, make a sister want to think twice.

COULD YOU DATE A MCDONALD'S EMPLOYEE?

Recently during a grown-up conversation among men and women a universal truth surfaced. Men can date women who work at McDonald's but women can't date men who work there.  Women need men that make more than they do.  Hmmm...is this true?  Fellas, ladies, please I need your input!

ATLANTA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER DIES AFTER TACKLE-CNN

A suburban Atlanta high school football player has died from injuries suffered while making a tackle during a scrimmage game, according to medical examiners.
Deantre Turman's death came Friday after he made a tackle during a pre-season game, said Mike Alsip, a forensic investigator for the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office. The teenager broke his neck, Alsip said.
The accident happened at a school in the Atlanta suburb of College Park, Georgia, according to CNN affiliate WSB.
His coach, Glenn Ford, told the station that Turman -- a cornerback known to friends as "Tre Tre" -- went immediately limp and unresponsive after the play.

HAPPY CANADA DAY

Beautiful Canada

Many of us join in the celebration of Canada Day assuming it’s just another public holiday that offers days off work or school to rest or attend parties and events but truthfully, it’s a lot more than that. This day holds so much memory about where we began as a nation and reminds us of the rich history and culture that make us who we are today.

Canada day celebration

July 1 enabled the joining of the three colonies into one country:  Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Canada province which then later split into Ontario and Quebec. Through this holiday we are able to celebrate our history and how far we have come as well as the identity we have established for ourselves as a mosaic nation. Every year on July 1,we celebrate the “birth of our nation”, through public outdoor events such as parades, carnivals, festivals, barbecues, fireworks, musical concerts as well as citizenship ceremonies for new citizens.

Canada day is unlike any other holiday we celebrate, this day marks many of our accomplishments as well as the blending of ethnic groups, languages,
and cultures that co-exist within our society. Happy Canada day
