OBAMA CANCELS MEETING WITH RUSSIAN PRESIDENT

The President of the United States Of America,Barrack Obama has cancelled his plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin next month.

The cancellation stems from the fact that Russia granted temporary Asylum to NSA leaker,Edward Snowden.If you recall,i posted how Edward Snowden disclosed secrets about the American and British surveillance programs on their citizens.

He(Snowden) took off to Hong Kong immediately after he made the secrets known to the public and thereafter went to Russia where he spent about a month in the transit area of the Moscow Airport before finally getting temporary Asylum in Russia.He has since relocated from the Airport to a secret location.

America confirms through the Deputy Predisent of the NSA that they the cancellation of the meeting does not mean they want to terminate their relationship with Russia but that meetings from now will be at lower levels.

Obama will still attend the annual conference of the G-20 Summit later in September while his Secretaries of state and defence will meet with their Russian counterparts in Washington on Friday. However,Russian officials believe President Obama is not willing to strengthen ties with them.
